DALAWANG araw mula nang magbukas ang 18th Congress, nagbitiw bilang 2nd nominee ng Marino Partylist si Rep. Jose Antonio Lopez.

Irrevocable resignation ang inihain ni Lopez.

Ang resignation letter nito ay ipinaabot ni Lopez kay  Marino Partylist 1st nominee Rep. Carlo Lisandro Gonzalez na sya namang nagpabatid sa Partylist  Foundation Coalition Inc.(PCFI).

Ang Marino partylist ay nakakuha ng 2 seats nitong May elections subalit kinuwestyon ng grupo ng mga Marino  dahil hindi naman sila mula sa industriya.

Sa original na lineup ng kanilang partido, ang 3rd nominee ng partido ay si Carlo Pio Pacana subalit ang ipapalit kay Lopez ay si Macnell Lusotan.

Sa statement ng Marino Partylist sinabi nito na personal ang dahilan ng pagbibitiw ni Lopez.

“Marino 2nd Nominee Anton Lopez submitted his irrevocable resignation as a member and 2nd nominee of the party-list. The resignation is effective immediately. As his resignation is for personal reasons, it is best that we wait for him to make a statement on the matter when he is ready. We regret to see him go, but we understand that the decision is his to make. We are currently undergoing the legal process of substitution and for this reason, we will not comment further until it is deemed resolved,” nakasaad sa statement ng partido.
